Because our trainers believe in the quality of these horses they have taken a 10% ownership in each horse that they will train for us. Please peruse these members of our Vintage 2010. Part of Vintage 2010. This magnificent colt is by red-hot stallion Roman Ruler and a Storm Cat mare.

On the racetrack Roman Ruler won the G1 Haskell Invitational Handicap, the G2 Norfolk Stakes at 2, the G2 Best Pal Stakes at 2, and the G2 Dwyer Stakes. He also ran second in the G2 Del Mar Futurity and in the G2 Goodwood Breeders’ Cup Handicap, and third in the G1 Travers Stakes. Roman Ruler banked over $1.2 million in earnings.

Roman Ruler was the 2009 #2 freshman sire in the nation barely missing the coveted #1 ranking by a mere $11,332 in progeny earnings. He’s also currently the #4 second-year sire in the nation. Roman Ruler has sired G1 winner Homeboykris (G1 Champaign Stakes), Kentucky Derby contender Rule (3rd G1 Florida Derby, 1st G3 Delta Jackpot, G3 Sam F. Davis Stakes), Seattle Ruler (1st Barrett’s Juvenile Stakes), and Zacatlan (G1 winner in Mexico). Roman Ruler has also sired Tiny Woods (2nd G2 San Vicente Stakes), Roman Invasion (3rd G1 Dixiana Breeders’ Futurity) and Maximus Ruler (3rd G2 Le Comte Stakes). Statistically Roman Ruler has an astounding Comp Index of 2.25. In simple terms this means that offspring of Roman Ruler earn 2.25 times the offspring of other stallions bred to the same mares. In his first crop Roman Ruler has been represented with 3% of his foals being stakes-winners which is a tremendous percentage for a first 2-year-old crop. The Blood Horse Stallion Register reports that Roman Ruler is the #1 Second-Crop Sire by Progeny Earnings and by Percent Black-type Horses/Foals.

Roman Ruler’s sire is Fusaichi Pegasus. Fusaichi Pegasus has sired Haradasun (champion 3-year-old colt in Australia, champion older male in England and Ireland and multiple G1 winner and earner of $2,264,941), Floral Pegasus (G1 winner in Hong Kong and earner of $2,724,375), Bandini (G1 Toyota Blue Grass winner), and Vistoso (multiple G1 winner in Mexico) among many others.

Our colt’s dam’s sire is the prominent stallion Storm Cat. Breeders’ Cup Juvenile runner-up Storm Cat is currently listed as the #3 ranked broodmare sire in the nation and is the sire of mares of 127 stakes winners. Over the past nine years he's been ranked 7th, 8th, 5th, 8th, 6th, 24th, 31rd, 25th, and 36th respectively on the national broodmare sire list and is the broodmare sire of millionaire Speightstown (G1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint), Folklore (G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies, G1 Matron Stakes), millionaire Nobiz Like Showbiz (G1 Wood Memorial), and Sky Mesa (G1 Hopeful Stakes, G1 Haskell Invitational). Our colt's dam, Allencat, is unraced. She's produced two other foals of racing age, one of which was a winner in his first start and went on to be stakes placed at 3-years-old going 1 3/8 on the turf in England.

Our colt's second dam, Pharma, is a G1 and G2 winner along with being G1 and G3 placed. She’s a full sister to millionaire and sire Hap. She’s the dam of stakes placed Petrovich.

Our colt's third dam, Committed, is a Champion Sprinter in England, Champion Miler and twice Champion Older Mare in France. She won the G1 Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp twice and the G1 William Hill Sprint Championship among other graded stakes. She had 17 wins in 30 starts. She produced Hap, who is multiple graded stakes winner and G1 placed, winner of $1,329,210, and is a sire. She also produced stakes winner Committed Dancer along with 5 other winners. She also produced unraced Belva who produced Champion Grass Horse, G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf winner, multiple G1 winner English Channel winner of $5,319,028.

Our colt’s fourth dam, Minstinguette, is the dam of 6 winners, 3 of which are stakes winners, and one is stakes placed. Many of her offspring have gone on to produce graded stakes winners and graded stakes placed runners.

This colt worked an eighth in 10.3 over a very heavy track where the bullet went in 10.1. He’s got an elegant stride and he moves fluidly and effortlessly. He changed leads right on cue like a true professional. He’s got the pedigree of a solid two-turn horse that can run on both dirt and turf.

His conformation is very correct and he vetted well. He has an “A” throat.

This colt is by a leading second-year sire. His dam’s sire is one of the best ever and is currently nationally ranked #3. There are graded stakes up and down both sides of his pedigree and he has the potential to be any kind of horse. He will run on the Belmont/Aqueduct (or Gulfstream Park)/Saratoga circuit. He's eligible for the OBS Championship Series and The Breeders Cup. He is trained by 23% winning (and 2009 Saratoga leading) trainer Linda Rice.

Part of Vintage 2010. This exquisite filly is by freshman sire Flower Alley and a Giant’s Causeway mare.

On the racetrack Flower Alley won the G1 Travers Stakes (by 2.5 lengths), the G2 Jim Dandy Stakes (by 5.25 lengths), the G2 Lane’s End Stakes, and the G3 Salvatore Mile (by 3.25 lengths). He ran second in the G1 Breeders Cup Classic losing to Saint Liam, second in the G2 Arkansas Derby, and second in the G2 Dwyer Stakes. He banked over $2.5 million in earnings.

Flower Alley’s sire is Distorted Humor. Distorted Humor was the #2 nationally ranked sire in 2009 and he’s currently the #3 nationally ranked sire in 2010. Distorted Humor has sired Funny Cide ($3,529,412), Hystericalady ($2,390,556), Commentator ($2,049,845), Regal Ransom ($1,747,200), Hello Pretty (AUS) ($1,205,529), and Any Given Saturday ($1,083,533) among many others. Distorted Humor is the sire of recent Belmont Stakes winner Drosselmeyer. Statistically Distorted Humor has an astonishing Average Earnings Index of 2.35 and a Comp Index of 2.16. Our filly’s broodmare sire is Giant’s Causeway. Giant’s Causeway was the #1 nationally ranked sire in 2009 and he’s currently the #1 nationally ranked sire in 2010. Giant’s Causeway is a multiple Group 1 winner in Europe and was named Horse of the Year in Europe and Champion 3-Year-Old Colt in both England and France. Our filly's dam, Satin Smooth, is unraced. She's a nice young mare who's only seven years old and has produced only two other foals. One is a yearling and one is a weanling.

Our filly's second dam, Louve Mysterieuse, is a stakes winner who won the Prix Madame Jean Couturie and banked $123,891 in her career. She produced True Quality who won the G2 General George Handicap, ran second in the G3 Gravesend Handicap, and ran third in the G2 Woody Stephens Stakes and banked $288,178 in his career.

Our filly's third dam, Louve Bleue, is a G1 placed mare who ran second in the G1 Prix Saint-Alary. She is a full sister to Lascaux who won the G2 Prix Jean de Chaudenay and is a sire.

Our filly’s fourth dam, Lupe II is a champion older mare in England. She won the Epsom Oaks, Cheshire Oaks, Yorkshire Oaks, Coronation Cup, and Prince of Wales Stakes. She produced stakes winner Louveterie who won the G3 Prix Vanteaux and ran second in the G1 Prix de Diane Hermes-French Oaks and second in the G1 Prix Saint-Alary. She also produced stakes winner and sire Lascaux who won the G3 Prix Jean de Chaudenay, stakes winner and sire Leonardo Da Vinci who won the G3 White Rose Stakes, stakes winner and sire Legend of France who won the G3 Earl of Sefton Stakes, stakes winner and sire L’ile Du Reve who won the G3 Cheshire Oaks, and stakes placed Louve Romaine who ran third in the G1 Prix de Diane Hermes-French Oaks and third in the G1 Prix Saint-Alary.

This filly worked a quarter in 21.3. She has a nice fluid motion and covers the ground nicely. We expect her to be a two-turn horse.

She’s a very correct, good sized filly with plenty of leg and scope. She vetted well. The direct quote from the vet is, “She vetted clean as a pin and she has ‘A’ knees.”

This filly is by a freshman sire that had one of the best successes on the racetrack. Her sire’s sire is currently nationally ranked #4 and her dam’s sire is currently nationally ranked #1. There are graded stakes up and down both sides of her pedigree and she has the potential to be any kind of horse. She will run on the Santa Anita/Hollywood Park/Del Mar circuit. She's eligible for the OBS Championship Series, the Hollywood Starlet, and The Breeders Cup. She is trained by leading California trainer John Sadler.

Touch Gold has sired G1 winning multi-millionaire Ferrari Pisa ($2,717,940). Touch Gold has also sired Seek Gold (G1 Stephen Foster), Composure (G1 Santa Anita Oaks), Midas Eyes (G1 Forego), Mass Media (G1 Forego), and Sweet Hearth (2-year-old champion in Italy). Our colt's dam, Tuff Chick, is a stakes winner and is G3 placed. She's a nice relatively young mare who's only twelve years old and has produced only three other registered foals of racing age of which two have already won.

Our colt's second dam, A Mean Fit, is a sister to stakes placed Sugar Hill Chick.

Our colt's third dam, Say What You Mean, is stakes placed and has produced G3 winner Gerrie Singer who has won 19 times and stakes placed Sugar Hill Chick.

This colt worked an eighth in 10.3. He’s got a nice long easy stride and he moves over the ground effortlessly. Trainer Linda Rice said that he is a nice mover and what’s noteworthy is that he galloped out exceptionally strongly. He has the look and movement of a horse that wants to go a route of ground and our expectation is that he’s going to be a two-turn horse.

His conformation is very correct and he vetted well.

This colt was hand-selected by Linda Rice and fits our standard profile for state-bred runners. He's by an established leading open company sire and a young well-bred mare. He, in effect, is bred for open company yet is eligible for state-bred purses. He's a registered New York-bred and will run on the Belmont/Aqueduct/Saratoga circuit. He's eligible for the New York Breeders Futurity, the Aspirant Stakes, the NATC Futurity, the OBS Championship Series, and The Breeders Cup. He is trained by 23% winning (and 2009 Saratoga leading) trainer Linda Rice.
