"My father and brother were involved with show horses when I was growing up in Massachusetts. Then my father bought a racehorse and that's how my interest got started in racing. I worked for my brother who was training while I was in high school. After graduating, I trained for a couple of years on my own before becoming my brother's assistant. I had a division for him at Garden State Park when they reopened after a fire. My brother and I were training partners in New York from 1990 to 1992. I became a jock's agent in 1992 until 1995. I worked about a year and a half each for Richard Migliore and Herb McCauley. I went back to training for myself in September 1995."
