HIBISCUS STABLES INTRODUCES BREEDING PARTNERSHIPS FOR NEW YORK
Mahopac, New York-based company to acquire and offer fractional ownership in broodmares to take advantage of lucrative breeding program in New York.

Mahopac, NY, March 11, 2013 – Hibiscus Stables has announced it is introducing Breeding Partnerships set to take advantage of the lucrative breeding and racing program in New York.

With the opening of the casino at Aqueduct revenues to the New York racing and breeding programs have skyrocketed. Breeding bonuses and incentives are at all-time highs and demand for New York-breds has never been stronger. Hibiscus Stables has entered into strategic relationships with third generation horseman Sean Feld as its Breedingstock Specialist, prominent farm Waldorf Farm as its base of operations, and leading consignor Indian Creek Farm as its sales team and consignor. Hibiscus Stables will acquire broodmares and board them in New York producing New York-breds for sale or racing. Partnership in these mares and offspring will be available through fractional ownership oppertunities.

Hibiscus Stables CEO Mike Oliveto said, “The breeding program in New York and accordingly the state-bred program is by far the strongest and most lucrative in the country. Carefully bred mares can produce offspring that can bring exceptional prices at auction. The fallout of the recent recession has foal crops at cyclical lows while demand for New York-breds is at all-time highs. This perfect storm of supply and demand sets up for extraordinary short and intermediate-term opportunities. We’re now poised to take full advantage of these opportunities.”

With the philosophy that there is no “one size fits all” solution Hibiscus Stables has offered fractional ownership opportunities in the Thoroughbred industry since 2006. In 2012 Hibiscus branched into Claiming Partnerships and now in 2013 Breeding Partnerships. Oliveto credits a unique approach to partnerships, which includes a strong focus on the partners themselves and open communication on strategy, news, and a constant stream of information sharing. Partners are kept up to date on all facets of the business through newsletters, phone calls, and on-track meetings which creates a true “partner” experience for all owners.

Hibiscus Stables is currently assembling members for new breeding, 2-year-old, and claiming partnerships for the 2013 season. Broodmares will reside in New York. Two-year-old racing prospects will be pointed to racing in both New York and Southern California. Claiming Partnerships will also be assembled for New York.
